MICHAEL A. CORDIER is a Shareholder in the Phoenix office and represents a wide variety of businesses and individuals in commercial matters. His transactional and litigation practice is concentrated in the areas of: intellectual property, including copyright, trademark, patent litigation, and the licensing and protection of intellectual property and trade secrets; construction, both transactional and litigation; and, employment and civil rights law, including representation in state, federal and administrative proceedings. Mr. Cordier graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.A. Political Science in 1989 and received his J.D. from the University of San Diego in 1992. In addition to the state and federal courts in Arizona, Mr. Cordier is admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr. Cordier is a member of the Maricopa County Bar Association (Corporate Counsel and Employment Divisions), the Business Law, Intellectual Property (Executive Committee – Budget Officer 1998-1999), Construction Sections, and the Corporate and Business Litigation Sub-Section (Steering Committee 1997-1998) of the State Bar of Arizona. He is a member of the Construction, Intellectual Property, and Labor and Employment Sections of the American Bar Association, as well as a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association. Mr. Cordier is a Past Chairman of the Advisory Board of Pope John XXIII Catholic School Community and currently serves as President of the Parish Council for St. Bernadette Parish. He is a former Board Member and past President of Actors Theatre of Phoenix. Mr. Cordier is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.
