SARA J. VANCE
is Of Counsel to the Firm in the Phoenix office. Her practice emphasizes commercial and real estate transactions, and related commercial appellate and bankruptcy litigation. Ms. Vance has practiced law for seventeen years and has substantial experience in:
- Negotiating, documenting, and advising lenders and borrowers on, secured loan transactions.
- Negotiating, documenting, and advising clients on, real estate purchases and sales, development, leases, easements, quiet title and other real property issues, including state land acquisitions.
- Negotiating, documenting, and advising clients on, small business purchases and sales.
- Advising condominium owner associations on legal requirements for associations, and contract and litigation issues.
- Researching and writing successful appellate briefs and motions, particularly focused in the areas of real property, UCC and related bankruptcy issues, and trusts and estates for federal and Arizona courts.
Ms. Vance graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan School of Law in 1989, and was Articles Editor of the Michigan Law Review; she received the Book Award for Writing and Advocacy. Ms. Vance received her B.S., summa cum laude, from Arizona State University in 1986. Ms. Vance served as a Hearing Officer for the Arizona Department of Education for seven years in special education cases. Ms. Vance is admitted to practice in Arizona and Nevada.
