Associate Attorneys

In the Tucson office, associates are expected to bill a minimum of 1680 hours. Credit is given for pro bono work as well as for various firm activities. Work above the minimum is rewarded through our bonus policy. Our lawyers work in a variety of fields and new attorneys are invited to explore different areas before focusing on a particular practice area.

DeConcini McDonald typically hires entry-level associates as a result of on-campus interviewing, leading to participation in a summer associate program for law students, or resume submission. We look for individuals with an outstanding academic record in law school; participation in law school activities such as law review, moot court, and/or legal clinics; and distinguished oral and written communication skills. In addition, we are interested primarily in applicants who wish to remain in Arizona and develop a practice here. We also consider community involvement and prior life experiences that suggest future success as a lawyer.
