Jay Polk, an attorney with Barron & Polk, P.L.L.C., of counsel to DeConcini McDonald Yetwin & Lacy, P.C., was appointed today to the Maricopa County Superior Court. This appointment fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Ruth Hilliard.
Mr. Polk’s practice concentrates on matters involving guardianships, conservatorships, estates, trusts, abuse or neglect cases involving vulnerable adults, and estate planning. He has also been instrumental in helping to draft significant reform measures in these areas.
Additionally, Mr. Polk is a certified private fiduciary, has served as a guardian ad litem for minors and incapacitated adults in probate-‐related matters, and serves as a judge pro tempore for the Maricopa County Superior Court.
