DeConcini McDonald Yetwin & Lacy, P.C. congratulates attorney Jody A. Corrales for her appointment to the United States Department of Justice, U.S. Trustee Program as a Subchapter V Trustee for the District of Arizona. Ms. Corrales will serve on the panel as a trustee for cases filed under subchapter V of chapter 11. She serves as one of eight panel trustees in Arizona and is the only appointee in Tucson.
Subchapter V Trustees are appointed under the Small Business Reorganization Act of 2019 (SBRA) from a pool of candidates eligible to serve. Their primary goal is to facilitate the confirmation of a consensual plan of reorganization in a cost-effective and streamlined process.
The United States Trustee Program is a component of the United States Department of Justice that is responsible for overseeing the administration of bankruptcy cases and private trustees. The primary role of the U.S. Trustee Program is to serve as the “watchdog over the bankruptcy process.”
Jody Corrales focuses her practice on bankruptcy and creditors’ rights. She is Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification and is certified as a Bankruptcy Specialist by the Arizona Board of Legal specialization.
