DMYL Among Habitat Event Sponsors

DeConcini McDonald Yetwin & Lacy, P.C. is proud to be among the sponsors of Habitat for Humanity’s 12th annual Building Freedom Day, which took place Wednesday, September 11thThe event, born in 2002 as a remembrance of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade center, pays tribute to the courage of those who lost their lives during the 2001 World Trade Center attack while shining a spotlight on building—and rebuilding—futures for families in need of safe, adequate housing and communities in Tucson.

Approximately 400 volunteers and 46 sponsors participated in this year’s event, which took place in Habitat’s Copper Vista neighborhood.  While some volunteers raised walls on four Habitat houses being built in the neighborhood, others, including 10 DMYL volunteers, helped renovate three existing homes in the community.  Renovation services were introduced at this year’s Building Freedom Day as part of a Neighborhood Partnership Program called Preserve-A-Home, which gives existing neighbors in Habitat communities an option to receive repair and renovation support to help maintain a thriving community.

DMYL thanks Habitat for Humanity and its many volunteers for their ongoing efforts to provide affordable, livable housing throughout Tucson.
